Edition Size
Edition size is the total number of works in a limited edition, declared before any are sold. It includes the main numbered run and any artist's proofs (APs) or printer's proofs (PPs), which should also be declared. A smaller edition usually supports a higher price per piece, while a larger edition lowers the price and broadens access. Choose an edition size that fits the medium, your audience and your pricing strategy, and never increase it once announced. Record the edition size and full edition list against the artwork in your inventory, and reference it on every certificate of authenticity and sales invoice. Clear, fixed edition sizes are central to collector trust and the long-term value of limited editions.
