Certificate Notice

A Certificate of Authenticity produced in connection with the archive of Andrew Bowers records the identity of the physical artwork and its connection to the artist's archive record. It links a specific physical work to a specific archive entry, including title, dimensions, medium, year and archive reference.

A Certificate of Authenticity does not transfer copyright, reproduction rights or image-use rights unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement. Ownership of the physical artwork and ownership of the rights in the image of the artwork are distinct.

Certificates of Authenticity are produced by the artist from their own artwork records. Vault Canvas provides document and private storage tools but does not independently authenticate an artwork or operate a public certificate registry. Public artwork and provenance information reflects the records and supporting information the artist chooses to publish.
