Certificate Notice

A Certificate of Authenticity issued in connection with the archive of Andrew Bowers verifies the identity of the physical artwork and its connection to the artist's archive record. It links a specific physical work to a specific archive entry, including title, dimensions, medium, year and archive reference.

A Certificate of Authenticity does not transfer copyright, reproduction rights or image-use rights unless expressly stated in a separate written agreement. Ownership of the physical artwork and ownership of the rights in the image of the artwork are distinct.

The Vault Canvas Registry record associated with a certificate may be updated over time to reflect verified provenance events, condition updates or corrections. The certificate confirms that the physical work corresponds to the registry record as it stands at the time of verification.
