Provenance Notice

Provenance entries for artworks by Andrew Bowers are maintained by the artist, the artist's estate or an authorised administrator. They are kept as an evidence-led record of an artwork's history rather than a marketing summary.

Sales, transfers, loans, exhibitions, condition reports, restoration notes and other significant events may require supporting evidence before being added as verified provenance entries. Evidence can include invoices, signed transfer documents, exhibition records, condition photographs, conservator reports or correspondence from a recognised institution.

Where a claimed event cannot yet be substantiated, the relevant entry may be omitted, held in a private record, or marked as unverified until adequate evidence is provided. This is intended to protect collectors, future buyers and the long-term integrity of Andrew Bowers' archive.

Requests to add, correct or clarify a provenance entry should be sent to the artist or an authorised administrator using the contact details published on the artist's pages.
