Statement

Rawdon Summer Exhibition 2026 brings together a selection of recent paintings created between 2025 and 2026. The exhibition includes works from the Quiet Divides series alongside more experimental figurative and abstract pieces.

The paintings explore themes of place, memory, observation and transition, drawing inspiration from Yorkshire landscapes, historic sites and personal experience.

Working primarily in acrylic, Andrew Bowers combines layered textures, simplified forms and carefully structured compositions to create works that sit between representation and abstraction.

This exhibition offers an opportunity to view the development of these ideas across a range of subjects and scales.
